Afternoon Tea for Two at Patisserie Valerie with £10 Cake Gift Voucher 10753747

We went here for my daughters birthday. They seemed alittle disorganised and we had never been before so didn't know what we had to do. I had to show the down loaded voucher. He started by saying we could pick 4 cakes which we did but didn't realise these were the ones to take home not to have with our afternoon tea. This could of been explained better. Also my daughter is veggie so we asked that the sandwich fillings for her be veggie and meat for me however every one came veggie. They were nice though. The coffee was very nice. Every thing was nice and well presented. Very good value and cambridge shop nice to sit in.

Food was absolutely amazing & so tasty. The selection was fabulous. Scones were beautifully soft & warm. Excellent experience

We had a lovely time, the staff couldn’t do enough for us, and the food was delicious. Taking cakes home was a lovely bonus and brightened up our morning coffee.

We didn’t have to pre-book and went at 3pm on a Saturday. The waiters were very attentive, the sandwiches were really nice and also had small crackers with smoked salmon. Delicious scones - fruit and cheese plus 3 cakes each!! We had to ask for a takeaway box :) Plus unlimited hot drinks.

We had a delicious afternoon tea at the Patisserie Valerie in Basingstoke. We had to bring a doggy bag home as there was too much to eat in one session - and this was in addition to the four cakes we were able to choose with our cake voucher! We were also delighted to be able to take our little dog who very much enjoyed morsels of smoked salmon, ham and chicken from the sandwiches! 10/10

Everything was perfect

Checked in the morning to make sure that we didn't have to book first. When we came back in the afternoon, the staff remembered us and very quickly prepared a table for us. When having our drinks order taken, I was asked to go over and select the cakes that I would like to take home, using the £10 voucher, so that they could be boxed for us and ready to collect as we left. Plenty of piping hot tea, three different types of sandwiches, a savoury, two different types of warmed scones with cream and jam, and a selection of small cakes, which were so light and delicious. Couldn't manage it all so were able to box up what was left so we could take it home along with the cakes I had chosen. Staff were attentive and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Unfortunately, we had to wait a while to use the voucher as there are not many venues., so had to wait until we were in Nottingham, which is quite a journey from us. However, worth the wait.

Not impressed with our afternoon tea ,selection of sandwiches poor and only a few each .The scones were hard and didn’t seem fresh? Staff at the till were unhelpful when l pointed out that we didn’t like mustard in the sandwiches but were told that’s how they come ,no alternative offered. They provide other lunches in the shop but weren’t interested in offering us an alternative. Two of the sandwiches just had cucumber in them ,hardly a decent filling for an afternoon tea. Doesn’t look like the pictures shown ????
